Easter Activities at West Virginia State Parks


  For family fun activities during the Easter weekend, West Virginia State Parks will host various events at North Bend , Blackwater Falls, Camp Creek, Pipestem Resort and Tomlinson Run state parks. Events are fun for all ages.


April 14-15 or April 15-16, North Bend State Park, Cairo, WV -- Easter Getaway

Enjoy breakfast and pictures with the Easter Bunny beginning Saturday at 8 a.m. On Sunday, Sunrise Service is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. with a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. Easter package price of $177 for two includes lodging for two nights, Saturday breakfast, Sunday lunch buffet, all Easter activities, mini golf and 10% discount on gift shop purchases. The price for children 5 and under is free, $22 for children ages 6-11 and $29.21 for each additional adult. For more information, please contact the park at (304) 643-2931.

April 15, Blackwater Falls State Park, Davis, WV -- Easter Egg Hunt

Children ages 12 and younger will have the chance to hunt for 1,000 Easter eggs filled with treats and visit the Easter Bunny during this special day. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. at the Nature Center . There is no charge. For more information, please contact the park at (304) 259-5216.


April 15, Camp Creek State Park, Camp Creek, WV -- Easter Egg Hunt

Registration will start at 2 p.m. and the hunt at 3 p.m. There will be four age groups with prizes going to the first and second place winners in each age group. This is a free event sponsored by the Camp Creek State Park Foundation. (304) 425-9481


April 15 and 16, Pipestem Resort State Park, Pipestem, WV -- Easter Celebration

Visitors will enjoy egg coloring at 10 a.m. and an egg hunt at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Easter Sunday will include a Sunrise Service 6:30 a.m. and a 10 a.m. worship service at the McKeever Lodge. There will also be some walks during the weekend. There is no charge for these events. For more information, please call the park at (304) 466-1800.


April 15, Tomlinson Run State Park, New Manchester, WV -- Easter Egg Hunt
Children are invited to gather colorful Easter eggs filled with candy in this event. Ticket sales close at 12:45 p.m. and the Easter egg hunt begins at 1:00 p.m. There is a minimal fee for this event. For more information, please contact the park at (304) 564-3651.
