For the first time ever, West Virginia residents can enter a lottery to hunt on designated private lands owned by Natural Resource Partners in the southern part of the state during the upcoming firearms season for wild boar, February 5-7.

How Do I Sign Up?

It’s easy, visit wvhunt.com to submit an online application for a chance to draw one of the 200 special issue permits.

Don’t wait! The application period will be open for ten days from January 5 through January 14 and will require a non-refundable $10 application fee.

The lucky winners will be notified via email and will be provided with a permit, instructions and maps of the area to assist hunters with the boar hunt.
FAQs
Q: Who can sign up to draw one of the 200 special issue permits?
A: All applicants must have a valid 2021 West Virginia resident hunting license to sign up. Per West Virginia statute, non-residents are not permitted to hunt wild boar.
