Fall Trout Stocking Starts Oct. 19

West Virginia’s fall trout stocking season will start Oct. 19 and we’re giving anglers and their families more opportunities to enjoy a fishing trip by adding two new state park lakes to the stocking schedule and announcing dates for four other stockings.

During the two-week season, fisheries staff will stock trout in 40 lakes and streams around the state, including Pendleton Lake at Blackwater Falls State Park and Pipestem Lake at Pipestem Resort State Park. Cacapon Lake, Coopers Rock Lake, Seneca Lake and Watoga Lake will be stocked on Oct. 24. Plan your fishing trip today!
