How can I purchase a license as a gift for a friend or family member?
It’s easy! If the recipient has previously held a license, all you need to know is the recipient’s name and date of birth. To purchase as a gift, call the WVDNR licensing team at 304-558-2758. Explain to the agent that you are purchasing an annual license as a gift. The agent will process the transaction and can email or snail mail you a copy of the license for gift giving.

NOTE: If the recipient has never had a license before, you may need additional information to establish an account. To be safe, come prepared with SSN, driver’s license number/expiration, address, phone number, email and physical characteristics like height, weight, hair color, and eye color.
