WVDNR stocks 14 waters with catfish during week of June 2

Agency also stocked 7 additional waters with surplus trout

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) today announced that the following lakes and streams were stocked with channel catfish during the week of June 2:

The WVDNR also announced that Cacapon Park Lakes, New Creek Dam No. 14, North Branch Potomac River (Jennings Randolph Tailwaters), North Fork South Branch, North River, Opequon Creek and Spruce Knob Lake were stocked with surplus trout during the week of June 2. Trout stockings have concluded for the spring and will resume for two weeks in October.

All anglers 15 years and older are required to have a West Virginia fishing license and a valid form of identification while fishing in the state of West Virginia. Trout stamps are required for those fishing for trout. Anglers also are encouraged to upgrade their fishing experience by opting for a collectible license card. Licenses and stamps may be purchased online at WVfish.com.
