Each spring, the WVDNR hosts public meetings at various locations across the state to give hunters, trappers, anglers, landowners and other interested individuals a chance to provide input on proposed changes to West Virginia’s hunting, trapping and fishing regulations.
2026 Public Regulations Meetings
NOTICE: The public regulations meetings originally scheduled for March 10 and March 12 have been rescheduled to March 17-18. WVDNR staff will be available at each meeting location from 6-8 p.m. to answer questions and discuss the proposals in detail.

Annual Regulations Questionnaire
Hunters, trappers, anglers, landowners and other interested parties unable to attend a meeting in person may conveniently review and comment on the proposed changes to the regulations through an online questionnaire, which will be posted once the proposals have been revised and approved by the West Virginia Natural Resources Commission at their March meeting.
Those who would rather send a written comment on the proposed regulations, may download the questionnaire (once posted) and submit comments to the WVDNR at the following address:
