Each spring, the WVDNR hosts public meetings at various locations across the state to give hunters, trappers, anglers, landowners and other interested individuals a chance to provide input on proposed changes to West Virginia’s hunting, trapping and fishing regulations.
2026 Public Regulations Meetings
The WVDNR has schooled six public meetings for 2026 — three meetings on March 10 and three meetings on March 12. WVDNR staff will be available at each meeting location from 6-8 p.m. to answer questions and discuss the proposals in detail.

Annual Regulations Questionnaire
Hunters, trappers, anglers, landowners and other interested parties unable to attend a meeting in person may conveniently review and comment on the proposed changes to the regulations through an online questionnaire, which will be posted on this page later in February once the proposals have been revised and approved by the West Virginia Natural Resources Commission.
