Natural Resources Police Officer
Applications will be accepted once a Physical Agility Test (PAT) date has been established. (See available PAT dates below)

Applicants must successfully pass the required physical agility test to proceed in the hiring process.
PAT Requirements
- Upper Body Strength
Must be able to complete 18 properly executed push-ups within one minute.
- Aerobic Power (1.5 Mile Run)
Must be able to complete the 1.5 mile run within 14 minutes, 36 seconds.
- Muscular Endurance
Must be able to complete 28 properly executed sit-ups within one minute.
- Swimming Test
Must be able to swim 37 ½ yards fully clothed. Candidates should bring long pants and a shirt for the fully clothed swimming test and a change of clothing for the running test.
Following the four PAT testing dates below, the WV Division of Personnel written exam will be administered at the WVDNR Headquarters, 324 4th Avenue, South Charleston, 25303 on May 20, 2024. Written testing begins promptly at 11:00 AM.
Applicants must also complete a psychological evaluation and meet the medical requirements as stated in the Law Enforcement Standards which are found at the link below before receiving an offer of employment.
